TRIP ESSENTIALS
Overview
This 2-day mountain escape takes you from the bustling capital directly into the heart of the Kyrgyz mountains. You will experience the majestic glaciers of Ala-Archa, the stylish nomadic comfort of the Chunkurchak valley, and the deep history of the Silk Road at Burana Tower. The journey finishes with a hike through the “Martian” landscapes of Kok-Moynok. It is the perfect trip for those who want to see the best of Kyrgyzstan’s nature and history without any difficult trekking.
Day 1. Bishkek – Ala-Archa National Park – Chunkurchak
Salamatsyzby! Welcome to Kyrgyzstan. Meet your guide and take a short, scenic drive to Ala-Archa National Park. We will spend the morning walking along the river through a forest of Tien-Shan fir trees. You will see snow-capped peaks and massive glaciers high above you.
After lunch, we drive to the stunning Chunkurchak gorge to visit the “Supara” ethno-complex. You will see how modern design meets ancient nomadic traditions. You can spend the afternoon exploring the green slopes, taking photos of the unique yurt-style buildings, or simply relaxing with a cup of tea while taking in the views. In the evening, we return to Bishkek to rest.

Special information
Today involves approximately 3.5 hours of driving (120 km). Optional activities in Chunkurchak: cable car rides, a zip line for thrill-seekers, or a walk across the famous sky bridge. These activities are not included in the tour price.
DAY 2. Bishkek – Burana Tower – Kok-Moynok Canyon – Bishkek
We start the day by heading east to Burana Tower. This 11th-century minaret is one of the oldest sights in Central Asia and was once a major city on the
Great Silk Road. You can explore the open-air museum filled with “balbals”— ancient stone statues carved by nomadic tribes—and climb the tower for a
view of the Chuy Valley.
Next, we drive deeper into the mountains to Kok-Moynok. This is a hidden gem of orange clay canyons. We will hike through winding “corridors” where
the walls have been shaped into strange forms by thousands of years of wind and rain. It feels like walking through a natural maze. After capturing some
amazing photos, we will drive back to Bishkek.

Special information
Today involves approximately 4.5 hours of driving (240 km). Please note that the staircase inside Burana Tower is very narrow and dark, so take your time during the climb
